Reusability is a big buzz word in the green community, and for good
reason. It means that the product can be used over a long period of time
rather than just for a single use. The most common example of an item
that is not reusable would be the Styrofoam cup.
Plastic sports bottles are reusable. They make liquid refreshments
portable and available on demand. Just pull the top open and squeeze to
enjoy a thirst quenching splash of your favorite beverage while on-the-go.
Push the leak proof top closed until the next time.
Bottled water is the single largest growth area among all beverages
according to the Beverage Marketing Corporation. Most bottled water is consumed away from home, usually at a park, in an office or even while driving - areas where there's usually
no recycling. Recycling of plastic bottles is the eco-responsible thing to do however it's not always done. Only
about 12 percent of disposable plastic water bottles are recycled. According to industry sources, in 2006,
Americans threw away 22 billion empty plastic water bottles. Bottles from bottled water are overwhelming our land fills.
One obvious answer is for all of us to promote drinking from reusable BioGreenTM bottles. Just as food stores
are selling reusable cloth shopping bags in an effort to minimize disposable plastic shopping bag litter, using
reusable bottles greatly helps reduce unnecessary environmental waste caused by plastic PET water bottles.
BioGreen BottlesTM bottles have a very long shelf life in warehouse environments or store shelves. They are
not affected by light, heat or humidity. This makes our product stand out from our competitors, because most of
the other degradable products (starch based) sometimes begin breaking down on the shelf. This does not
happen with BioGreen BottlesTMmade with EcoPure . Our BioGreen BottlesTM will perform as well as our
normal easysqueeze LDPE bottles. This will allow your BioGreen bottle to be reusable for a very long period of
time.
Thinking "reusable" instead of "disposable" is a great place to start. Reduce ... Reuse ... Recycle ... BioGreen!
